Environmental conditions and basic care:

Temperature🌡️- 21 - 24°C

Under 7C and over 24C the snail will begin to slow down and with prolonged exposure it will begin to shorten its life span

Humidity💧- 70 - 75%

White lipped snails are sensative to dry or hot conditions and may estivate (seal them selves in their shells) if the conditions are not right.

Habitat size 🫙: For white lipped snails as well as other similar garden snails you should give approximately 1 gallon or around 4 liters per snail in the terrarium

Habitat information: For substrate use peat-free topsoil (to make sure its not to acidic) mixed with coconut coir (for structure and holding moisture) and top it with live moss to (hold moisture for longer periods), plus bark or cork bark for climbing instead of hard wood that can crack their shells. In addition rocks and other hard surfaces should be avoided for the same reason. Total depth of should be around 5 cm or deeper.

Nutrition 🥦: Calcium needs to always be offered to ensure that snail and its shell are healthy for food its important to offer a variety of vegetables and fruits to make sure they get proper nutrition to see here!

Common problems and what they can mean:

A white tip or patch on the shell

It usually points to low calcium, poor humidity, acidic substrate, or it can be pysical damage from scapeing on things in the tank, or sun expouse rather than a disease.

 New growth can heal some damages with proper calcium, nutrition, tempreture, and humidty. The old white areas won’t change color back,  focus on preventing further damage. 

Weak or pitted shell

Likely calcium deficiency

Lack of movement over time

Could signal dehydration, cold temps, or illness.
