Environmental conditions and basic care:

Temperature🌡️- 

Avoid temperatures above 77°F (25°C) or below 50°F (10°C) for extended periods.

Humidity💧- Humidity: 80 to 90% which imitates their damp forest-floor habitat.

Roman snails are highly sensitive to dry air and will estivate (seal themselves in a dry mucus layer) if conditions are too warm or dry.

Roman snails naturally hibernate in winter and may estivate in summer droughts.

In captivity, stable conditions usually prevent dormancy.

If they seal their shell with a hard epiphragm (calcified mucus layer) Do not force them out. Check temperature/humidity and adjust to help them reemerge.

Habitat size : Approximately 10 gallon or around 38 liters

Habitat information: For substrate use peat-free topsoil (to make sure its not to acidic) mixed with coconut coir (for structure and holding moisture) and top it with live moss to (hold moisture for longer periods), plus bark or cork bark for climbing instead of hard wood that can crack their shells. In addition rocks and other hard surfaces should be avoided for the same reason. Total depth of should be around 5 cm or deeper.

Nutrition 🥦: Calcium needs to always be offered to ensure that snail and its shell are healthy for food its important to offer a variety of vegetables and fruits to make sure they get proper nutrition to see here!

Life expectancy 🕰️- 5 to 10 but can reach 20 with proper conditions

Sexual maturity ♥️- 2 plus years

Clutch size (egg amount)🥚- 30 to 60 eggs which are around 5.5 to 6.5 mm each

Common problems:

Shell Damage: Minor cracks may heal with calcium. Large breaks risk infection.

Mold/Fungus: Caused by poor ventilation or over-wet substrate, clean the terrarium, remove the mold, and improve airflow.
