Environmental conditions and basic care:

Temperature🌡️- 12 - 22°C

Under 7C and over 24C the snail will begin to slow down and with prolonged exposure it will begin to shorten its life span

Humidity💧- 50 - 75%

It should be avoided to go over 85% unless its only for short periods right after misting

Habitat size 🫙: For Cornu aspersum as well as other similar garden snails you should give approximately 1 gallon or around 4 liters per snail in the terrarium

Nutrition 🥦: Calcium needs to always be offered to ensure that snail and its shell are healthy for food its important to offer a variety of vegetables and fruits to make sure they get proper nutrition to see here!

Clutch size (egg amount)🥚- 40 to 120 eggs which are around 4mm each

Other behaviors:

Cornu aspersum like some other land snail species utilizes "love darts" in which before starting mating the snails stab eachother with a hard dart which contians snail slime. This is to make each of the snails immune systems aware of the other. If this step was missed the snails immune systems would attack exchanged genetic material and the mating would be unsucsessful. The love dart acts as a "heads up" to keep this from happening! If you see your snail with somthing like this sticking out of it do not fret it was just mating.
